Granulate Cutworm

Description

 

  • larvae have a rough skin with many bluntly conical granules of varying sizes
  • brownish with darker granules

 

Damage

 

  • cutworms cut plants at, or slightly below, the ground level
  • feed on roots and underground stems
  • may be difficult to control because they remain in the soil
  • attacks and damages many different vegetables
